A city on the eastern side of Belarus, situated on the Dnieper River and about 47 miles from the border with Russia’s Smolensk Oblast, is Mahilyow, Belarus.It is the third-largest city in the country and is the administrative center of the Mogilev Region. Mid-May to mid-September is the best time to visit Mahilyow, Belarus for the comfortably warm weather. In September, the annual International Festival of Animation takes place.

The Mogilev Museum of Art is one of the main attractions in Mahilyow, Belarus. It is housed in a building that was an architectural monument at the beginning of the 20th century.
