The closest in operation is within 20 miles from the restaurant. Lytle Park is a great place to go for the whole family. There’s a 1,000,000 gallon swimming pool plus it is here you’ll find the unique Blalack& Walter Well No.1, a 100,000 barrel oil well. It might be unthinkable to have these two together but if you don’t look closely, you might miss the well altogether. Go on a hike at the Mattoon Peterson Park. When you visit the city by July, you’ll be able to attend the local “Lenders Bagelfest” where music, food, and entertainment abound.
