Mojave Air and Sport Port - MHV Molave
Also called the Civilian Aerospace Test Center, Mojave Air and Sport Port is the first known airspace facility that was given the license by the Federal Aviation Administration to launch reusable space aircraft on the 17th of June 2004. The airfield was not only utilized for public-used general airport but also the main site of flight aircraft testing, space development industry and heavy duty aircraft storage and maintenance. This airport is located in Mojave, Kern County, California serving the city of Mojave as well as its surrounding cities Arvin, Delano and Lebec.

Mojave Air and Sport Port (MHV) was opened in 1935 in Kern County to cater the silver and gold mining business of the region. The airport has undergone renovation in 1941 headed by the Civil Aeronautics Board that improved the airport’s runways from soil to asphalt and the addition of taxi airways. Currently, the airport has three runways, the longest of which is an asphalt/concrete surfaced measuring 12,500 feet.
