About Thambapanni Hotels Midigama
Thambapanni Hotels started in the 1990s with their first property the Thaprobane Rooms and Restaurant. It soon grew and attracted customers with its custom cuisine and impeccable service. The augmented demand led them to the facilities they have today – a 1422 room seaside property, boasting one of the finest seaside restaurants in the entire country.
Thambapanni Hotels later added more properties including a 22 home retreat hotel in a jungle/beach area that displayed a fusion of Sri Lankan and Dutch architecture. Another property added to the chain is the Thaprobane Pavilion Resort & Spa which is on the shores of Unawatuna Beach. Its design was heavily influenced by the Dutch Fort in Galle. The 16 rooms in the property look over the majestic Indian Ocean. Expansion is further planned with the group scheduled to open more properties including those with spa facilities that feature Ayuvedha treatments. The planned hotel also boasts of top of the line amenities, luxury spaces, and gourmet cuisine.
The chain boasts of its multiple awards given by international and local groups. On three different years, they were Agoda Gold Circle Winners. They have also been recognized by the EU-switch Asia Greening Hotels awards. Locally, they have received Sir Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year Provincial Awards.
