Moenjodaro Airport – MJD Mohenjo-Daro

Mohenjo-daro or “Mound of the Dead Men” is an archaeological site in Sindh, Pakistan located west of the Indus River and Ghaggar-Hakra River. In the place lies Moenjodaro Airport. Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority runs the airport. Moenjodaro is a place of beautiful landscapes and rich archaeological finds. From above the aircrafts you will see the top view of one of the earliest settlements in civilization.

The usual first flight in the airport is at 9:35am, Moenjodaro to Karachi, and the last flight is at 6:30pm, Moenjadaro to Sukkur. The airport is simple and straightforward, passengers are encouraged to come prepared so check-ins and baggage claims will be smooth and quick.

What to Do & Area Attractions

There are no hotels near Moenjodaro airport and the airport does not offer a comfortable place to stay while waiting in between flights. Hotels in nearby cities are available within a few-kilometer-range for an overnight accommodation and restful sleep. Also, viewing the museum and historical sites in the city is definitely a must. Al Mansoor Hotel is located in Larkana and is a 29-minute drive to Moenjodaro Airport, 31-minute drive to the city and the museum. It has three restaurants and a 24-hour service. Royal Inn is a long way drive but can still be a good option to stay.
