Moab Recreation and Aquatic Center is a premier sports facility that can cater to all ages. It is built primarily as a venue for after-school programs of students in Moab. However, it now caters to fitness classes like spinning, conditioning, and Zumba. This center also has three pools, which can be rented for exclusive use. There are also rooms that can be reserved for special occasions. Additionally, it hosts art classes to hone the creativity of its guests.
After enjoying the recreational activities offered by this center, visitors can take out their bikes and explore the 10.5-mile trail of Slickrock Bike Trail. Alternatively, they can hike the South Mountain, which is part of the Manti-La Sal National Forest. A thirty-minute drive will bring them to Castle Valley, where they can see picturesque castle-like formations. On the way is the white sand Swasey's Beach that is lined with cottonwood trees, so visitors need not worry about the shade. Those who would like to be close to nature can camp here for a night.
