Beijing Nanyuan Airport – NAY Beijing
Considered to be Beijing’s secondary airport, Beijing Nanyuan Airport with the airport code NAY was an airport for public use before and became a military airport that has served the city of Beijing. It is situated at around 8.1 miles from Tianamen Square which is a city square in central Beijing, and 1.9 miles south of 4th Ring Road, which is an express road in the said city.

The NAY-Beijing Nanyuan Airport started to open its doors in 1910, making this airport as the oldest one to be recorded in the country. It was the first airport in the country and has started its operations upon the experimentation in creating aircrafts within Nanyuan. Another interesting fact about this airport is that it is one of the first 3 airports, fully operational, that has opened before the year 1910 in the world. It has recorded to have accommodated 6,512,740 passengers and 44,469 aircraft movements in the year 2018. The airport stopped conducting flights in the year 2019, month of September.
