Negrar: City of Wine
Negrar, Italy or Negrar di Valpolicella is a province in Verona that is part of the Veneto region. Geographically the town is located about 68 miles from Venice and 12 miles from Verona city proper. Its name was recently changed to Negrar di Valpolicella in February 2019. In the early years of the town, the first settlers have mixed origins. It was a free commune until it became part of Verona in the 14th century. In 1791, it became part of Venice. The economy of Negrar lies in the production of wines made from cherries and fruits. The Brescia Montichiari Airport (VBS) is about an hour away. The closest airfield is the Verona Airport (VRN) which is 30 minutes from the center of Negrar.
