Nogales: Have a Good Time Every Time
Located on the northern border of the Mexican state of Sonora, Nogales, Mexico is a city and the county seat of the Municipality of Nogales. To its north is its namesake, Nogales, Arizona located just across the U.S.-Mexico border. It got its cityhood in 1920 and is considered one of the most important ports of entry for visitors from the U.S. In recent years, Nogales has also become known for medical and dental tourism. Its downtown area is a vibrant community filled with hotels, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, and curio stores.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Nogales is from March to May as well as from October to November when the weather is most pleasant. The early months of the year are the peak months for tourism in the city and as expected, Nogales hotels are priced higher than during regular months but those in the know usually purchase months ahead to get big savings. The Annual Tequila Fest in mid-April is an event that also brings in more visitors for its music, food, and tequila, of course.
