About Hersha Hospitality Oakland
Founded in 1984, Hersha Hospitality or HHT currently manages a total of 7,644 rooms across 48 hotels scattered all over different locations including New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, West Coast, and Washington. The company was named after the founder’s wife through the purchase of a simple 11-room motel in Pennsylvania.
Since then, Hersha Hospitality has had an excellent run with improving properties each and every year. In fact, as recently as 2016, the company managed to purchase the historic Ritz-Carlton Georgetown with its 86 luxurious rooms, adding to the company’s DC portfolio.
Their diverse properties gives guests the option of choosing the ones that work best for their needs. While hotel architectures themselves vary from one location to the next – all of them hold a quiet elegance that unmistakably draws in the crowd.
The rooms are characterized by wide spaces with large windows that overlook the city below. Beautifully located in strategic points, Hersha Hospitality makes a point of keeping their hotels close to the heartbeat of the city.
The hotel chain’s commitment to sustainability and environment care also caused them to launch EarthView. This program launches initiatives designed to give back to the community through conservation and community drives.
