Okahandja, Namibia, located in Otjozondjupa region in the central part of the country. Okahandja is an amazing town formed when two rivers met and made a larger one. This simple town is also known as the Garden town of Namibia because of it scenic landscape. This little town is actually bustling with businesses because of its strategic location. All year round local and overseas tourists drop by the area because the town provides a good break for fast paced travelers. The town has hot springs and many natural reservoirs. But be careful when driving in town because Okahandja does not have any traffic lights in the whole city.

The town has a steady arrival of tourists in all year round because of business travels. Although more leisure travelers arrive in the city from May to October because of better weather hence more convenient to go around town.

Okahandja is popular for its Gross Barmen Springs. It is a resort with an ancient hot spring. The resort also has more amenities like outdoor pool and spas. Another, the Von Bach Dam. Tourists especially enjoy a picnic and cruising through the dam. Also check out the Okahandja Open-Air Market for good local finds.
