Ormoc Airport – OMC
Ormoc Airport is a public airport located in Ormoc, Philippines. It is a public airport, which is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). It serves the city of Ormoc and the surrounding Leyte Province. It is one of the three airports in Leyte. It is one of the few airports in the country to be situated in an Airport Village or an Airport Barangay, which has been specifically planned and designed to support the transport hub. The airport sits at an elevation of 83 feet above mean sea level. There is one asphalt runway, which measures 6,102 feet. In 2009, the airport handled 17,800 passengers.

The airport operates under the code OMC. This code was assigned to Ormoc Airport by the United States Department of Transportation during the American colonization of the country. Airlines that serve the OMC include Cebu Pacific. The airport suffered damage during Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. Rehabilitation was done and it included expansion of the airport’s total land area and a renovation of the terminal. The new passenger terminal was opened and inaugurated in 2019. Cities, towns, and villages found near the airport include Tacloban, Tugbong, Lao, and Liloan.
