Close to the outskirts of the city of Galway, Oranmore, Ireland is a parish, which was previously called Fuarán Mór. The city was dependent on agriculture for the past years, but it has since shifted to tourism, logistics, and manufacturing. Oranmore, Ireland is now home to a handful of hotels and inns.

March is considered one of the favorite months to be in Oranmore as the spring season has just begun by this time of year. Most of Oranmore, Ireland hotels are starting to get booked by the start of the month and gets incredibly packed by St. Patrick’s weekend. Similar to its neighboring cities, Oranmore also joins in the St. Patrick’s Day celebration and hosts several parades and culture exhibitions.

Oranmore is home to the Oranmore Castle, which was believed to date back to the 1400s and was constructed on top of another castle. Those planning on visiting the site can reserve their suites at the nearby Maldron Hotel, Oranmore Galway. This four-star property is strategically situated within a 20-minute walk from the castle. You can also check out two of the top-rated hotels outside of Oranmore, the 4-star Clayton Hotel Galway and Corrib View. While the latter boasts of its proximity to the beach, the former is a better alternative for those planning on visiting the Galway Bay Golf and Country Club as it is only a mere 20-minute drive from the site.
