Parabiago: Where the Business is Shoe Business
Parabiago, Italy, is one of the towns that comprise the Metropolitan City of Milan in Lombardy. Because of its proximity to the cosmopolitan Milan, Parabiago enjoys a whiff of the metropolitan atmosphere while still having a distinct small-town feel. The town developed in the 18th century, but the textile and shoe industries took off between the 19th and 20th centuries during the Industrial Revolution. April to October is the best time to head to Parabiago, while the peak season starts from March to June. While these months may be the ideal time to go in terms of good weather, the Parabiago hotel prices are higher than usual. However, visitors who want to take part in Carnival Ambrosiano happening during lent sometime in March and April should book their flights and accommodations ahead of time to avail of good deals.
