Pienza: The Renaissance, The Revival, and The New Beginning
Previously named “Corsignano,” the town of Pienza, Italy is now named after Pope Pius II as it is his birthplace. Thus, Pienza is also known as “City of Pius.” It is well-acknowledged for its cacio (cheese) and the renaissance architectural style of the infrastructures.
