MaciaHoteles is a 45-year family run business started by José MaciàGarcía dedicated to catering, tourism, and hospitality sector. Macia Plaza Hotel, its first hotel, opened its doors in 1973 in the heart of Granada’s capital. Another property – Hotel MaciàCóndor was introduced two years after, which became a standard pillar for the development of the company. It also set a benchmark in the hospitality industry in Andalusia (Cadzi, Seville, Cordova, and Granada). The company also opened the Café Maite in 1981 on CalleZacatín, Granada’s popular shopping street.
MaciaHoteles, at present, has eight two- to four-star hotels under its portfolio, representing over 840 rooms. Each hotel is found in unbeatable locations in city centers and boasts of state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the best experience for its guests. They are close to establishments with monumental, commercial, and historical interest. In September 2010, its property Hotel MaciaDoñana obtained its fourth-star rating after a massive renovation and investment. The hotel situated in the Bajo de Guia has become the only one in the area with this category.
