Not to be confused with Brazil’s city, Rio is a commune or a municipality in Italy. This commune was recently established – year 2018. It is located in the Livorno province that is under the region of Tuscany, and is one of the 19 communes under it namely Piombino, Livorno, Bibbona, Capoliveri, Campiglia Marittima, Capraia Isola, Campo nell’Elba, Castagneto Caducci, Collesalvetti, Cecina, Marciana Marina, Marciana, Piombino, Porto Azzuro, Portoferraio, Rosignano Marittimo, Sassetta, San Vincenzo, and Survereto.

Weather-wise, it is highly recommended to visit this commune during the months of June until September.
