Rocky Mount Children's Museum and Science Center is a children's museum that features live animals, planetariums, travel exhibits, and interactive exhibits. It was founded in the year 1952. The RMCM is the first children museum Rocky Mount, North Carolina. All of the exhibits located in the museum are all educational and fun, which challenges young children to be creative and also encourages them to think critically. Also, the museum caters to Birthday programs for children with unique party themes such as planetarium party and fossil find adventure, animal track hunting, and many more. In the year 1999, the museum was damaged because of a flood and was transferred to its new location, which is in the Imperial Center for the Arts.
