Sacramento Executive Airport with code SAC is located in Sacramento, California. The public airport is about 5km away from the city center of Sacramento. The airport is covering about 540 acres of land. It has 3 runways and helipad. The airport opened its door in the 1930s. It was called as Sutterville Aerodome. The city-owned facility was expanded in 1941. During the year, the construction of the three runways has started. During the 2nd World War, the airport was operated by US Army Air Corps. After the war, they have turned over to the city and it was called Sutterville Auxiliary Field.
