The weather in Stonington is cold most time of the year with chances of rain and snow. But if you like the sun shining brightly, then come between the months May to August.

As a small village, there are no attractions found within Stonington itself. Neighboring areas, however, never run out of places to see and things to do for Colorado visitors. Springfield, CO is a neighboring town less than 40 minutes away. The Springfield Museum is a must-visit especially for history buffs out there. The Comanche National Grassland is a protected land by the National Forest Service and is perfect for walking in nature as you will find a trail inside. Same as attractions, Stonington, Colorado hotels are better found outside the village. An hour away, you will find many accommodations over at Guyom, OK as well.
