Surat Airport – STV Surat
Surat Airport has an airport code of STV and is located in Surat, India particularly in Magdalla in the state of Gujarat. STV is Gujarat’s second busiest airport and received a custom notified status in 2018. This public airport is owned and operated by the Airports Authority of India and was built by the government in the early 1970s.
Safari Airways was the first airline to operate in Surat Airport with flights to Bhavnagar and Bombay using small planes. In 2003, the government started modernizing the airport. Surat Airport was approved to construct a cargo terminal and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

In 2017, the airport announced plans in expanding the terminal building. The new terminal is expected to handle 1,800 passengers which will accommodate 1,200 travelers from the domestic routes and 600 from international destinations. The renovation includes adding more counters, air bridges, and a bigger parking space.
