Tofino: Crashing Waves and Mountain Trails
Locals call Tofino, BC as the “End of the Road” because it is the farthest place you can drive in Canada. It is situated on the west of Vancouver Island and is a popular tourist destination during the summer as it is known as a surfer’s and a hiker’s haven. Summer peak, from March to August, would be the perfect time to visit Tofino, British Columbia especially if you are a looking to catch the waves. Watch out for Tofino Wine and Food Festival and Pacific Rim Summer Festival during these months. Winter peak, from October to February, is also a good time to check the island if you like storm watching. But mind you, the rain can be pretty heavy!

Surfing in Tofino should be done at the famous Long Beach. Meanwhile, hikers will adore the many trails found in this coastal town like the Rainforest Trail. If you happen to come during winter to storm watch, you can do this at the Amphitrite Point Lighthouse.
