Turin International Airport - TRN
Also referred to as Turin-Caselle Airport, Turin International Airport serves the area of Turin, Italy and can be found in the municipality of CaselleTorinese, which is about 10 miles from the city of Turin. The airport is also called SandroPertini Airport, referring to the former President of the country, SandroPertini. Turin International Airport, whose airport code is TRN, was a former World War II airbase back before it was constructed in the 1950s. It served as the venue for the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the 2005 Winter Olympics. The airport also boasts of its ACI Europe Best Airport Awards in 2007 and 2008.
Best Time to Visit
The construction of TRN-Turin International Airport dates back to 1953. There is only one asphalt paved runway in the airport, stretching to 3,300 meters. There are over 20 airlines landing in the airport, which travels to various destinations within Europe, the busiest route being to Frankfurt, Germany. As of 2016, the airport accommodates more than 3.9 million passengers, each year becoming bigger than the last. From Turin International Airport, you can drive to the nearby cities of Cirie, Brione, and Front.

Just outside of the airport are the hotels of the Hotel Residence Miramonti, the Hotel Master, and the Hotel Galant, all within just a 10-minute drive from the Turin International Airport (TRN).
The second airport of Piedmont, the CUF-Levaldigi Airport, is also just about an hour away from Turin Airport and serves the nearby towns of Cuneo and Turin.
