Vernal: Interactive Experiences for Kids and The Kids at Heart
An adventure waiting to be conquered and home to the outdoor recreational park “Dinosaurland”, Vernal, UT began its humble beginnings as a settlement around the area of the Uintah Basin in 1861. The area was initially thought to be perfect for hunting and “To hold the world together” and was called Uintah Indian Reservation. Now home to Dinosaur National Monument were 1,500 dinosaur bones and fossils are kept for preservation and display, it is very hard to imagine Vernal without these dinosaurs under its belt. Best Time to Visit
The best time of the year to visit Vernal, Utah is during summertime in the months of June, July and August. July is the warmest but with cheaper hotels compared to the two other months. Snow can be enjoyed in the area during winter season.
