Victor: Jackson Hole’s Bedroom Community
Victor, ID is the largest city in the Teton County. It was named for one George Victor Sherwood who is a mail carrier to the city, despite being threatened by Indians during his tenure. With nearby attractions circling the city, Victor is known as the “bedroom community” for the Jackson Hole resort. It is currently being served by the Jackson Hole Airport, which sits just 66 miles from the town center.

The ideal time to visit Victor, Idaho depends primarily on the kind of setup you want. If you’re willing to check out the city along with numerous tourists, the months of June, July, and August are the peak seasons. The city is also a favorite jump off point of people going to the East Idaho Bacon Festival. That’ right – it’s a limited festival that’s dedicated primarily to bacon, attended by people who love to eat or make this particulate treat. Of course, this also means that Victor, ID hotels are a little expensive during this month.

As the bedroom community of Jackson Hole, Victor ID is home to excellent hotels like the 4-star Teton Springs Lodge and Spa. Both have a very cozy appeal to them with a façade that leans towards cozy cabins instead of modern fixtures. From these hotels, you can visit multiple attractions like the Alpine Slide of Jackson Hole, the Bridger Teton National Forest, or the Cascade Canyon. Indoor activities include visits to the Colter Bay Indian Arts Museum, Grand Teton Brewing Company, and the National Wildlife Art Museum.
