Villahermosa: Modern Wonder
Known as the Emerald of the Southeast, Villahermosa is located in the state of Tabasco in Mexico, and is its capital. As the largest city in Tabasco, the government seat is located here. Translated to ‘Beautiful Village’ in its native tongue, Villahermosa is rich in natural resources while boasting of its modernity. The city is also known as an important business center for the oil industry in Mexico.
Best Time to Visit
Springtime in Villahermosa is the best time to travel; booking a flight and hotel rooms during the months of March to May will be most ideal. The busiest months for tourists would be from January to March, but Villahermosa has celebrations throughout the year that many would enjoy. Foodies would love being a part of the Festival Del Chocolate during November (which celebrates, of course, chocolate!) and the Festival del Ostión during August, which celebrates oysters. For those who would like to immerse themselves in the culture of Villahermosa, they would love the Festival Cultural Ceiba in mid-October, and the Feria Tabasco at the start of May. Get to Villahermosa by booking a flight to the Carlos Rovisora Perez International Airport, and start the celebrations!
What to Do & Area Attractions

It is a cave that is rich in hydrogen sulfide, which make the cave smell like rotten eggs. Travellers can book one of the nearby hotels, one of which is Casa Tapijulapa, which is just a 9-minute walk away from the cave. To satisfy sweet tooth, they can also head on to visit Hacienda La Luz, which is a cocoa farm that produces one of the finest and aromatic cocoa of the world.
