Windsor: Birthplace of Vermont
Windsor, VT is a town in Windsor County where the state’s Constitution was adopted in the 1700s. As such, it is dubbed as “Birthplace of Vermont”. It was chartered by colonial Gov. Benning Wentworth in 1761.

The exhibit is the first ever exhibit from the private collection of Howard Coffin, the state’s foremost Civil War historian and author.
