Ystad: A Resort Town That Has It All
Formerly known as Ystath, Ystad, Sweden is a bustling seaside resort and port town made famous by the crime and mystery series, Wallander, seen on television and films. The cobblestone streets, red brick-roofed and pastel-colored houses, alongside the fascinating historical landmarks make the town more attractive than it already is given that it is close to the azure coast. Ystad is a vibrant town you should definitely add to your bucketlist.
Best Time to Visit
Winters are longer at Ystad than summers. Summer tend to run for only two to three months, between late June to early August. This short period is considered to be the ideal time to visit the town. There is plenty of sunshine to enjoy and the temperature is mild. Of course, there are many tourists flocking to the town this time around and Ystad hotels hike up their prices. Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival takes place July annually.
