Founded in 1957, the company is located in Yokkaichi City Mie Prefecture with operations across Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa. It has a total capital of ¥1.9 billion and is publicly listed at the Tokyo Stock Exchange Market. 

The company currently headed by Chairman and Director Kiyoshi Matsui has annual consolidated sales of ¥27.1 billion ($249.19b). It now employs 2,000 staffand plans to grow the number further as it expands its network nationwide. Green KK Hotel bills itself as the only mid-price hotel that successfully developed through the concerted efforts between global brands in over 7,000 hotels in 40 countries with the ‘Choice Hotels’ brand. This form of business operates around lodging hotels focused on prefectural government offices and designated cities like Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, and Comfort Hotel. They all specialize in providing functionality and comfort. Greens’ subsidiary Choice Hotels Japan Co., Ltd owns the exclusive rights to use the Choice Hotels in Japan.

“Comfort Suites” brand is set up at tourist and several airport locations where an influx of leisure travelers is expected. “Comfort Inn” and “Comfort Hotel” are launched in areas where there is high demand for accommodation, especially in the core and designated cities, and in the metropolitan area.
