The fifth busiest airport in the whole of Spain, Alicante Airport is the main airport that serves the metropolitan areas of the Valencian Community in Spain as well as the regions of Murcia. Located in Alicante, Spain, the hotel intially took the name El Altet. ALC-Alicante Intl is located 70 kilometers from Murcia. It serves as the base of several major airlines such as Norwegian Air Shuttle, Ryanair and Jet2.com. In 2017 a total of 13.7 million passengers were welcomed in the airport.

ALC-Alicante Intl Airport originally had two terminals. Hoever, Terminal 1 and 2 were closed after the New Terminal was completed and became operational. Called as Terminal N, this new, bigger and more modern terminal opened in March 2011. All flights and operations in the airport are moved into this terminal from Terminal 1 and 2. It has a total area of 333,500 square meters, six times the size of the Terminal 1 and 2 combined. Now the new terminal features 96 check-in desks with 15 airbridges, 40 gates and 16 baggage carousels. Old Town, Rincon de Loix and Cala de Finestrat are the closest areas for sightseeing in the area.
