Al Bateen Executive Airport – AZI Airport
Al Bateen Executive Airport is the first and only dedicated business jet airport in the MENA or the Middle East and North Africa regions. It is located 6.5 nautical miles southeast of Abu Dhabi city in Abu Dhabi, UAE. It is operated by the Abu Dhabi Airports Company. The aviation assets of the UAE government are the tenants in the airport.

Al Bateen Executive Airport or AZI Airport first came into use in the year 1960. It was the first main airport of Abu Dhabi city until 1982 when the Abu Dhabi International Airport was opened. In 1983, Al Bateen became a military air base until 2008. When ADAC took over airport operations, the airport turned into a world-class executive airport. The current capacity of the airport stands at 50 private jets. Turnarounds are fast and efficient with no holding patterns and taxi times are short. Al Bateen Executive Airport is the focus city for British Airways and Singapore Airlines. Residents from Al Maryah Island and Saadiyat Cultural District also benefit from the airport.
