Bafoussam Airport –BFX Bafoussam
Bafoussam Airport operates with an airport code of BFX and is run by the government of Cameroon. This public airport is located in Bafoussam, Cameroon, which serves as the capital of Cameroon’s West Province. BFX-Bafoussam is built with a runway with a length of 1.5 miles. As of 2012, BFX airport no longer serves scheduled commercial air passenger flights.

This airport mainly serves the city of Bafoussam as well as regions in Africa and the Indian Ocean. Bafoussam is the biggest city and capital of Cameroon’s West Region in the Bamboutos Mountains. At the same time, it is also Cameroon’s third most important city with a total population of 1,146,000 residents. Aside from BFX Airport, there are several unscheduled airports in Cameroon including Eboloa, Batouri, Foumban, and Mamfe to name a few. Meanwhile, the international airports operating in Cameroon are Douala and Yaoundé-Nsimalen while the domestic airports include Garoua and Salak.
