This venue houses an arena and an exhibit hall while the civic center has over 15 meeting rooms. It is owned and operated by the city of Bismarck and is home to Dakota Wizards and Bismarck Bucks. In 2004, this event center was voted as the top professional bull riders challenger tour venue.
Other attractions include the Dakota Zoo, which opened in 1961 with only 15 acres of land.
