Blaine: A Quick Escape for a Peaceful Weekend Getaway
Blaine is a charming small town of the Aroostook County, Maine with nearly 800 populations in 2010 census. The town was originally called Alva before it was incorporated in 1974 then was renamed as the current name in honor of the US House of Representative, James G. Blaine. Based on local story, Blaine promised to donate a big bell for the new meeting hall of the town if the town will be renamed after him. But Blaine didn’t donate a tower bell even when the town’s name was changed to Blaine.
Best Time to Visit
June to August is the most visited months in Blaine, ME relatively making hotel and airfare more expensive. If working on a budget, tourists may visit the town between March to May when weather is still warm and most tourists’ attraction are not flocked by visitors.

Visitors of Blaine are fortunate for there plenty of hotel accommodation to stay that offer world-class amenities.
