The Hang Nadim International Airport- BTH airport is an international airport intended mainly for commercial or civil use. BTH airport is owned by the government of Indonesia but operated by BP Batam. Majority of usage of BTH airport is to cater Batam city, Riau Islands, Indonesia in which the airport is located. The BTH airport is also surrounded by Gelang Patah, Jalan Wong Ah Fook and Kulaijaya District, in which the airport also partly serves. BTH airport is an important hub for general aviation especially for aircraft maintenance.

The current operation of BTH airport has ten operating airlines with international destinations. Further, a functional airline- Saudi only operates during Hajj period to accommodate pilgrims coming in to Batam from Jeddah. International Cargo airlines are also operating in BTH airport. Asialink carries cargos to Singapore in regular basis. Another, expansion plan for the airport is also being settled. Expansion plan include infrastructure upgrade and terminal expansion. Additional facilities such as hotels and golf course are also eyed by BP Batam.
