Bucaramanga: Explore Colombia’s City of Parks
Framed by the Andes’ Cordillera Oriental range, Bucaramanga is the biggest city and the capital of Santander department in central Colombia known for its numerous parks with lush green spaces perfect spot to rejuvenate and relax. Established in 1622, it may not be the most fascinating city in Colombia but it offers its visitor an interesting place to savor of its regional culture and some great nightlife. Best Time to Visit
During spring or between June to August is when Bucaramanga received most of its tourist for it offers a pleasant weather with little changes of rainfall making it and ideal time for visiting many of the city’s parks. Tourism peaks in Bucaramanga in April while July is the least visited month. Bucaramanga also hosts the annual International Choral Festival in June that draws many local and foreign tourists in the city.

Bucaramanga’s top city park is the Parque Garcia Rovira that is a must- included site to visit in any visitors’ itinerary. It is a beautiful park surrounded with sky-reaching palm trees and is enclosed by the Church of San Lauraeno, Palace of Justice and Bucaramanga’s City Hall. Other interesting parks at Bucaramanga are San Pio Park, Parque del Agua and Gallineral Natural Park.
