Bukhara is a city in Uzbekistan in the Central Asia. Bukhara, Uzbekistan originated from the Sogdian language which means a place of good fortune. Bukhara is now the capital of Bukhara Region of Uzbekistan and situated in the Silk Road, where the city has been established as the center of trade, culture and religion. The historical center of Bukhara covers several mosques and madrassas that have been recorded by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The closest major airport is Bukhara International Airport that has international and domestic flights.

The best time to visit Bukhara is in spring or autumn when you want to avoid the blazing summers and ice-cold winters. April and May are in particular enjoyable. Travellers can watch and enjoy events and festivals like Silk and Spice Festivals which includes legendry performances, traditional food and fashion show. Chimgan’s Echo Festival is an outdoor music festival.

There are several architectures of building or structures that have been preserved in Bukhara. The Abdullah-khan Madrasa is built in 1590 and still the greatest objects of Central Asian architecture. It is the largest in Bukhara after Kukeldash and the Mir Arab Madrassah is the home of Bukhara khans. The first thing you can see in this building is huge fortress gates of Ark. Bolo-Khauz Complex is the only maintained monument on the Registan Square. It is situated opposite site of Ark-the Emir’s Fortress. Kalyan Minaret is perhaps the tallest building in Central Asia and kalon means “great” in Tajik and has positioned for nine centuries.
