Carcassonne Airport is situated two miles from the center of the city, particularly at the western edge of Carcassonne. It serves both Carcassonne and Languedoc. Carcassonne Airport has two runways: one is a paved asphalt runway measuring 2,050 meters in length while the other is an unpaved grass runway measuring 800 meters in length. Inside the premises of the airport is the campus of French Civil Aviation University. The airport also offers shuttle services that bring its passengers from the airport to Carcassonne’s center and Carcassonne Station. The airport is close to the cities of Toulouse and Donneville.
