Built in 1945, the Conakry International Airport is the main airport of the Republic of Guinea in West Africa. Also known as Gbessia International Airport, it is located in the city of Conakry, Guinea. It runs parallel to the south shore of the Kaloum Peninsula and is connected to Conakry proper via the Autoroute Fidel Castro.
