Colorado Convention Center is ranked 12th in the list of largest convention centers in the United States. It is fairly new and opened in June of 1990 with the Denver Nuggets draft as its first-ever event. The convention center is located in downtown Denver, Colorado and has a total space of 2,200,000 square feet. On average, the Colorado Convention Center hosts approximately 400 events in a year. Since it is centrally located in the city, there are many popular landmarks located close to it. The CCC is also directly served by light rail.
Thanks to its downtown location, it is pretty close to many surrounding cities. Glendale is only 13 minutes away from the CCC, Berkley is 14 minutes away, and 17 minutes away is Commerce City. When the events at the Colorado Convention Center have finished, there are still plenty of fun things to do in the city of Denver. The Denver Art Museum is a great place to visit for art lovers with its collection of 70,000 artworks. When the whole family is along, one of the best places to take them is Denver’s Downtown Aquarium featuring state-of-the-art facilities and over 500 species of marine life.
