Lauriston Airport – CRU
Lauriston Airport, which is also referred to as Carriacou Island Airport, is a public-use airport found on the western side of Hillsborough, Grenada, on the island of Carriacou. The Grenada Airports Authority currently operates it. The airfield mainly serves the residents of Hillsborough and the other towns on the island. The IATA location identifier of Lauriston Airport is CRU, while its ICAO location identifier is TGPZ.
Best Time to Visit
Carriacou Island Airport stands at an elevation of two meters above the mean sea level. It features a single asphalt-covered runway, which measures 2,625 feet in length and 59 feet in width. Currently, SVG Air is the only airline serving Lauriston Airport, which connects the island to the nearby Maurice Bishop Airport at St. George, Grenada, and to Union Island Airport in Clifton. While visiting the beaches of Carriacou, swing by the neighboring Palm Island as well and indulge yourself in a daylong beach bumming and wildlife watching.

While Lauriston Airport doesn’t have any accommodations within its vicinity yet, there are a handful of hotels you can stay at, which are only about ten minutes away from the airfield.
