Yeager Airport - CRW
Yeager Airport is a public airport that serves Charleston, West Virginia. Located three miles from downtown Charleston, it is owned and operated by the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority. Operating under the airport code CRW, Yeager Airport hosts the McLaughlin Air National Guard Base and is home to several aircrafts of the West Virginia Air National Guard’s 130th Airlift Wing. In 2018, it served a total of 419,000 passengers and had a total of 30,700 aircraft operations. Yeager Airport is categorized as a non-hub primary commercial service facility.

CRW occupies an area of 767 acres and it sits at an elevation of 947 feet above mean sea level. There is one asphalt runway. The airport opened in 1947 under the name Kanawha Airport. It was renamed in 1985 in honor of Brigadier General Chuck Yeager. In 2008, the second runway was closed to allow the construction of new hangars and a ramp space.
