Dandong, China: An Interesting City that Shares Boundaries with North Korea
Formerly called Andong, Dandong is a prefecture-level city in the southeastern province of Liaoning, China. It is situated less than a mile away from Sinuiju, a North Korean settlement. In fact, the two countries are only separated by a narrow Yalu River, which is so close that people could actually see each other's lives from across the border. Dandong, China is connected to North Korea by a bridge named Sino - Korean Friendship Bridge (Yalu Bridge) that serves as the two countries major trading route. To get to the city, the nearest airport is Dandong Langtou Airport.

Dandong experiences a humid continental climate with four distinct seasons. The ideal time to visit the city is from April to October. Autumn is also a perfect time to visit the place as it offers pleasant average temperatures and is less humid. Summer experiences humid weather but with heavy rainfalls from time to time. In fact, it often rains in summer as compared to the other seasons. Winter is cold, and temperature sometimes reaches up to -7C.
