Dipolog: The Gateway to Western Mindanao
Dipolog is a capital city of Zamboanga del Norte, in the Philippines. The backward town has a majestic view of the Sulu Sea in its north border and a range of hills in the southeast border. The city is known as “Gateway to Western Mindanao” and “Bottled Sardines Capital of the Philippines”. It is referred as the Gateway to western Mindanao because of it is situated in the estuary of the Sulu sea. While it is also known as the bottled sardines capital because it is the home to the Montano sardines production.

The best time to visit Dipolog, PH is in May when the city celebrates its annual Pagsalabuk Festival. It is a weeklong celebration of both secular and non-secular origin.
