Sultan Thaha Airport- DJB-Sultan Taha
Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin Airport is located in Jambi, Indonesia within its suburb Palmerah. The airport was dedicated after the last Sultan of the region - Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin. Originally, the airport was built by the Dutch and the Japanese and was called Palmerah Airport. It became a public airport in the 1950s after Indonesia gained its independence from the Dutch. It was operated by the Departmental Agency of Civil Aviation and featured a gravel runway that can accommodate a Douglas DC-3. DJB-Sultan Taha is one operated and managed by the PT Angkasa Pura II.
