Finnish American Heritage Center and Museum is a cultural events venue, a museum, and an art gallery. It is a national center located in Ashtabula, Ohio, United States of America. The center’s building is a favorite stop for tourists. It has a beautiful hall with a vaulted, tin ceiling that is used as a venue for university plays, and community events, the Martha Wiljanen Community Hall. The center also hosts Kijavat, a children’s Finnish folk group. The Finnish American Folk School is based in the center.
Along with the other attractions in the area, Finnish American Heritage Center and Museum is a tourist attraction on its own. There is a village near Ashtabula which has some wineries to visit, the Conneaut City. It is nice to visit there also. Hotels to stay are plenty in Ashtabula. Another good hotel to stay in is the Sleep Inn & Suites Near I-90 and Ashtabula, which is located conveniently between Erie and Cleveland. Ashtabula has a lot of attractions to entertain visitors. The Walnut Beach Park is one of the best beaches in Ohio. Plenty of water-based and sports activities are available here. The other one is the Port of Conneaut Bird Observation Platform Area. This is the best point to view the nature preserve on the banks of Lake Erie.
