Fortuna: More than an Overdeveloped Town
Fortuna, Costa Rica or also known as La Fortuna is considered as overdeveloped in terms of tourism however it is considered a hidden gem of the country. Situated from in the Northern Highlands, the town has a beautiful park in the centre. The main backdrop of the town is the Arenal Volcano, which can be seen no matter where a person is. There are numerous accommodations, especially in the town centre. Aside from the hotels, restaurants and shops are overflowing. The town is only a short walk to the volcano and Lake Arenal. Even if it’s bustling with tourists, Fortuna sill remains charming.
Best Time to Visit
To avoid the rainy season, months from December to April is the most ideal choice when it comes to the best months to go to Fortuna. In order to avoid the crowds, it is best to visit from months of May to August. However, take note that these months are slow and there are shops that closed.

There are quite a number of activities and attractions that awaits the guests. This is the reason why Fortuna is very popular. They say that all the fun Costa Rica things to do can be done in town. It includes exploring the rainforest through a hanging bridge, rappelling down the waterfalls, riding through the white water rafting and a lot more.
