Garzê, China: Exploring Tibetan Culture and Hitchhiking Up Close
An ethnic Tibetan township, and situated in Kham, a Tibetan region, Garzê is a town and the seat of Garzê County in Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, China. The town maintained its Tibetan custom although it is now part of Sichuan Province. It contains many Tibetan villages and monasteries. The known example is Kandze Monastery.
