It is an airport built on an artificial peninsula located 7.4 kilometers from Genoa, Italy. Although it is not a major airport in the country, GOA-Cristoforo Colombo is considered to be one of the most significant airports in the Liguria region that serves the Port of Genoa as well as areas in Asti and Alessandria Provinces. The airport is also the manufacturing base of the Piaggio Aerospace.
