Highland is a community along the southeastern regions of Texas, in Harris County. Highland, TX has an area of 6.5 square miles and a population of more than 7,500 residents. The area was named as such because of its elevation location along the eastern back of the San Jacinto River compared to the opposite bank. The nearest airports to Highland are George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Baytown Airport.
